About
At Jamie’s Pottery Studio, I create handmade ceramics with a warm, personal touch—focusing on matcha sets and traditional Korean onggi containers. My studio is based in Long Island, New York, where I carefully shape, glaze, and finish each piece by hand.
I first discovered pottery at church and made pieces for fun. I never expected it to become such a meaningful part of my life—but over time, I grew to love the process, the rhythm, and the joy it brings. Now, I truly enjoy sharing my work with others and seeing how it becomes part of their everyday routines.
As a Korean immigrant, I feel deeply connected to the traditions behind my work, especially when making onggi jars. These vessels have been used for generations in Korean homes to ferment and store foods like kimchi and gochujang, and it means a lot to carry that heritage forward through clay.
My matcha bowls, whisk holders, and onggi jars are made with both beauty and everyday use in mind. I also create small batches of planters, cup, and pour over sets that blend form with function. Every piece is crafted with care—meant to be used, enjoyed, and cherished.
